We currently are recruiting for the following positions:

Software Developer

TRUX Route Management Systems Inc. is a leader in software development for the waste management industry. Our products are used extensively in Canada and the USA by solid waste haulers, recyclers, and landfill operators. We have been operating from our Cambridge, Ontario location since 1989. We are currently looking for a senior Software Developer to assist in the next generation of our product. Primary responsibilities will include development in C# in the Visual Studio.net environment and the creation of associated system documentation.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years working knowledge and experience with C# (including ASP.net) in the .NET framework
  • A minimum of 3 years experience with MS SQL Server
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with Web Services and Crystal Reports
  • Academic exposure to object oriented technologies
  • A working experience with COM and ActiveX
  • Familiarity with Source Safe
  • Experience with Accounting, Routing, or Waste Industry software
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and to excel within a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple projects

Technical Support Representative

TRUX is a customer focused service provider and we require an individual with strong problem-solving and communication skills to join our Technical Support team. As a member of the TRUX Technical Support team, you will be providing troubleshooting and training support directly to our clients over the phone and occasionally onsite. Our Technical Support team members are provided with training on our applications and on the waste industry in general. We are looking for team members that enjoy dealing with the challenges found at a rapidly growing company.

A successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • A diploma, degree, or 2 years experience in a technical or support related field
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • A customer oriented focus required to build a strong technical and business knowledge of customer environments
  • The ability to multitask on multiple projects while maintaining a high level of service quality

The following technical skills are not necessary but are considered beneficial:

  • SQL Server / RDBMS experience
  • Knowledge of Business Application Software
  • Knowledge of call management systems and processes
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Technologies
  • Crystal Reports and/or FoxPro skills
